The teenage years is the time where parents and children are finding it hard to handle the situation with each other because teens have raging hormones that lead them to think that they can decide on their own and be independent away from their parents. We are all aware that one of the issues that our society have no choice but to accept is the increasing number of teenage pregnancy which is one of the results of irresponsible decisions of these teens. We all know that pregnancies happen through the union of a man and a woman. In teen dating, girls and boys have the chance to fall in love for someone that they want. There is a great possibility of early pregnancies when teen dating because of the curiosity of the parties involved and on how sex is being portrayed through media.

A higher probability of pregnancies happen when teen dating involves an adult or young adult dating an innocent girl. This situation makes that adult to have power over that girl. It can lead to teen pregnancies or even worse rape and abortion. Those are worse case scenarios but that is really happening in reality.

Teen dating should involve proper guidance from parents of dating girls and boys such that they will have limitations on the things they are allowed to do or not. Yes, teen dating can result to unexpected events in the future but we should think positively and trust these teens that they will become more mature as they experience more in their lives.
